Remembrance tells a story of lost soldiers of war everywhere. The young female figure wears a type of dress associated with a candy striper, a hospital helper, one whos job it is to make patients feel comfortable, someone to talk to while laid up. She wears a dress made of bones gathered together by rope netting. The bones are carved with hatchmarks and each mark accounts for many more. The bird of prey is a symbol of aggression, but it is the bird of prey's nature, not its environment, that makes it seek its prey.
