Crow Raven’s View

stoneware, glazes, stains, acrylics
39″ t x 15″ w x 13″ d

I often do work based on the experience of living and working in New Mexico, my home state. The raven, the trixter, is sitting on a stalk of corn and has a red thorny branch in its mouth, with which it plans to build its nest. Bones (referring to ancestry), and corn stalks, (referring to the land and to sustenance), bridge the sky full of purple clouds.
