Elijah’s Cup represents the family not present at the dinner table. The raised text is in Ladino-the language of the Sephardic Jews from Spain. It is half Spanish and half Hebrew. The stem and base of the cup are hexagonal shaped-referring to a honeycomb-my name in Hebrew means the Bee. The white gold inside the cup-unseen to those at the table-show the preciousness of ancestry.
