“People of the Corn” is a love letter to New Mexico. It tells a story of three cultures, native, mestizo and Spanish. The sacred blue corn stalks grow up through the clouds and three figures emerge; the Corn Kachina, the Matachine Dancer and the Apace Dancer. These tress figures connect the earth to the sky. The blue interior is a reference to water-the sacred giver of life.
